This position, under the direction of North American Safety Environmental and Real Estate SERE and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the environmental, property conservation, security and safety processes specific to the assigned locations and assuring that all corporate, professional and regulatory guidelines, goals and statutes are met and/or exceeded. Personally manages and directs accident prevention, environmental and property conservation programs. Directs and oversees the training of all location personnel in complying with company, professional, and regulatory standards. Provides professional consultation to line management designed to maintain effective direction in the formulation and implementation of policies, procedures and solutions to operational safety, health, environmental and property conservation programs. Develops programs and practices for managing the plant's hazardous materials and wastes that meet regulatory guidelines and company standards. Will assist the plant Occupational Health Administrator in administering the workers' compensation program by participating in the Road to Recovery Process and any legal action follow-ups. This position is a direct report to a S&E Director and an indirect report to the location manager. In addition to supporting specific location(s), assignments will include corporate projects as determined by the direct SERE manager. 25% travel may be required. 3 years of experience in S&E required. 4 year degree or equivalent. Proof of equivalency will be required in the form of certificates of S&E professional education completed, job history with direct S&E responsibilities.
