The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager acts as a leader of the business to provide ongoing leadership, support, guidance, and direction to the Bowling Green Manufacturing plant to advance the organization’s journey toward an injury free culture. The EHS Manager is responsible for pro-active planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and sustained continuous improvements of health, safety, environmental, and sustainability programs.

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and proactive approaches to EHS. • Promote a culture of commitment to EHS by integrating with business and directly supporting plant leadership team. • Drive leading indicator safety programs. • Accurate and timely reporting of incidents, metrics, and sustainability data. • Develop, implement, and sustain proactive EHS programs. • Improve the quality of EHS management processes following established regulations, policies, standards, and programs. • Manage incident investigation programs, develop and identify trends, and develop programs for improving performance. • Create and manage budgets for EHS activities including but not limited to; consulting and testing, waste removal, safety equipment, safety programs & initiatives, etc. • Conduct site audits, evaluate plant's compliance, and identify areas of improvements. • Implement environmental solutions and drive changes in manufacturing processes / systems that lead to reduction in environmental waste streams. • Lead plant EHS and sustainability training programs. Educate, train, and provide support to operations in the development and execution of consistent EHS management programs. • Provide technical expertise to plant operations on key regulations pertaining to EHS. • Conduct job hazard analysis/risk assessments and develop/implement solutions. • Maintain compliance with federal (EPA), state, and local environmental (Air, industrial wastes and wastewater; hazardous materials storage and disposal) and safety (OSHA) regulations. • Manage site's Workers' Compensation program and Injury Management. • Interact with employees, HR, legal, physicians, and insurance company carriers. • Ensure site multi-media environmental compliance with EPA, DHEC, DOT, and other related regulations. • Conduct Risk and Job Hazard Analyses pertaining to physical, chemical, ergonomics and other hazards, and develop solutions to mitigate or control them. • Develop and implement proactive new process design reviews, injury and injury prevention plans, building safety, audits, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and material handling strategies.
','!*!Who we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or related technical field. • 5 to 7 years of direct EHS experience in a mid-to-large and complex manufacturing/industrial environment. • In depth knowledge of operational hazards and risks and development of multi-faceted (technical, work practice and administrative) solutions. • Strong knowledge and skills of EHS processes and tools • Travel may be required up to 10%.
