The Environmental Chemist role is to provide support service to all laboratory activities and initiatives to support the field operations (Fluids) as required. He / She is responsible for activities within his/her authority in accordance with the scope of work and applicable procedures, and to fulfil these tasks in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The available position will work with the assistance of a marine biologist. In addition to routine laboratory work, the environmental chemist will have the opportunity to work with top industry scientists to conduct research concerning marine discharges on a global basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

Organize samples, maintaining laboratory cultures of test organisms, cleaning glassware, conducting laboratory tests, writing reports.

Research projects, customer required lab projects and product development projects.

Core areas of responsibility include maintaining marine cultures for biological testing and bioassay testing.

Qualifications and Experience:

MS degree in Marine Biology

Experience: 0 – 5 years laboratory experience, preferably in aquatic toxicology testing.

Availability for weekend duty,

Good oral and written communication skills.

Target skills include excellent attention to detail, scientific writing, Microsoft Office (Excel, Access), and the ability to closely follow protocols and procedures.

Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
