Must have at least 3 years of industrial safety and environmental experience (preference for food processing, grain handling, petrochemical, chemical or ethanol related industries but not required).
Responsible for leading all EHS initiatives for (2) local plants totaling (80) employees. The role will manage EHS programs and systems for the site with expertise in LOTO, confined space, ergonomics, training and ideally, general knowledge of process safety management. Sole EHS person for the site and will report into the Corporate EHS Manager.
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
Review, evaluate and analyze work environments and assist in the design of programs and procedures to prevent injury.
Assess and evaluate plant conditions for safety compliance and conduct inspections.
Manage all environmental reporting including air (Title V), water and waste management.
Ability to communicate effectively and read/interpret documents related to all EHS matters.
