The Security & EHS Supervisor (S&EHSS) is responsible for managing both the physical security and environmental health and safety programs at two Lewisville, TX Cardinal Health locations.
Seventy percent of this role involves managing and implementing Cardinal Health’s Global Security programs, including developing and maintaining a strong security culture where “Security in Everyone’s Responsibility”. Providing a safe and secure environment for employees and customers with established security policies and procedures and utilization of security technology including intrusion alarm, CCTV and access control systems. The S&EHSS is responsible for the production and training of all intrusion alarm passcodes, access badges for new hires, replacements badges, along with segment updates. This role works closely with contract security officers and off-duty police officers and the front desk Facility Coordinator in regards to front lobby security access, Mobotix entry, guest/visitor sign in/out process, etc. Workplace Violence prevention and incident management and other HR related investigations are a routine part of this position. Confidentiality is of the upmost importance. The S&EHSS is responsible for daily/weekly physical inspections of security devices, monthly site security system testing and annual preventative maintenance procedures. Audit and reporting controls for SOC2 certification are the responsibility of this security role along with any SOP’s or WI’s that may apply. The S&EHSS will manage and triage facility related help desk ticket request via the master ticketing system.
The additional thirty percent of this role involves management of the environmental health and safety program for both locations. This involves education and communication to employees and the leadership team. Specific EHS responsibilities consist of pharmaceutical waste disposal from patient returns, emergency response procedures, maintenance of fire extinguishers and other operating equipment.
The S&EHSS is responsible for updating SOP’s, participating in client and regulatory audits and inspections. Occasionally special projects and tasks will be assigned by the Facility Manager on an as needed basis.
Physical security, including security technology (LENEL platform preferred)
Investigations – expertise in conducting successful interviews, ability to lead complex investigations to conclusion.
Guard force management
Security awareness trainer – new hire security orientation and on-going topics
Workplace Violence prevention and incident management
Maintain Site Risk Profile for qualitative and quantitative analysis
Law enforcement liaison skills
Developing and testing of operation specific emergency response plans.
Integration of applicable EHSMS requirements into the operations.
Managing the operation’s regulated waste disposal program; and
Implementation of the EHS programs required by the EHS regulations or company standards.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field
CPP certification (Certified Protection Professional) ASIS International
Investigative interview training, for example Reid, Statement Analysis, kinesic, etc.
Previous experience with emergency planning (medical emergency, fire, intruder, etc.) in office environment and/or warehouse is a plus.
Previous experience with environmental waste disposal or OSHA regulations is a plus.
Previous experience with inspection programs or audit programs is a plus.
