Our client is anmanufacture of metal components for the automotive industry.n In this role you will collect information and prioritizenneeds to reduce risk, limit company liability, and cut workerncompensation costs. nActivity: 70% Health andnSafety and 30% Environmental Duties: Monitor company compliance withnFederal, State, & Local EHS laws implementing or providingnrecommendations to ensure compliance and systematicnsustainability. Proactively address safetynissues and concerns for employees. Directs EHSnimprovement strategies: Continuous ImprovementnProgram Conduct accident investigations withnfollow-up as necessary Conduct new hire safetynorientation Complete necessary job safetynanalysis Maintain safety audit program andnensure its sustainability nEvaluate safety training needs and coordinate withndepartment managers and supervisors for implementation ofnneeded/required training. Organize requiredninspections: Crane, Fire Department, OSHA, EPA/DNR.nMaintain appropriate regulatory documentationnResponsible for managing environmental performance:n Remediation activities such as coordinatingnGroundwater treatment, soil vapor extraction, and othernactivity. Oversee reporting requirements: airnpermit management, auditing for compliance, and waternmanagement. Risk Reduction which includesndeveloping, managing, and directing projects which improve ournenvironmental risks Sustainability whichnincludes proposing, implementing, and directing activity to becomena more environmentally sustainable company. nRequirements: BS innSafety (The client really likes U.W. Whitewater’snOccupational Health and Safety degree) Possessnor has the ability to obtain ASP (CSP preferred) certificationnwithin four years. nExcellent oral and written communication skills withinnall levels of the organization. Demonstratedneffective training ability. Must benfamiliar with Safety regulations; familiarity with Environmentalnregulation a plus.
