Job Description & RequirementsOccupational Health Nurse in KansasStartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: - The Occupational Health Nurse provides on-site preventative health care for employees. They work closely with employers to ensure that health and safety standards are met, and are instrumental in maintaining optimal employee health.
· Providing prompt, appropriate clinical care to all employees in conformance with company policies, clinical protocols, state regulations and ethical standards. This includes worksite injury/illness triage, treatment coordination with the Wellness Center, and referral to specialists as necessary.· Documenting all clinical care in the appropriate medical format in the provided electronic medical record.· Recording of vital signs, audiograms, vision testing, urine collection, blood collection, spirometry, respirator fit testing, injections and basic first aid.
Ideal applicants will have:
Minimum 1 year related nursing experience (clinic, occupational health, emergency/urgent care, acute care, internal medicine, community health).Current State Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure.A comprehensive understanding of the patient care procedures, medical protocols, and testing procedures necessary to support an Occupational Health clinic.
