Tactically deploys the strategy and safety vision for the NA SC function. Effectively executes against the strategy to elevate safety and environmental performance to world-class levels in the Divisions. Assesses, coaches and grows the NA SC EHS team (plant EHS coordinators), enabling the talent, and skills necessary to drive continuous improvement towards world-class safety and environmental performance.u003C/pu003Eu003Cpu003EResponsibilities:u003C/pu003Eu003Culu003Eu003Cliu003EPromote a Zero Injury Safety Culture: Provide leadership and coaching to NA SC Business Unit Segment leadership team, plant managers, and EHS coordinators to create a workplace free of recognized hazards, promote safe work behaviors and foster a culture that keeps the safety of our employees a business value.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003EStandards, Technical Guidance: Assist the NA EHS team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Tactically deploy tools and training to the NA SC Business Unit Segment leadership team, plant managers, and EHS coordinators to ensure implementation of the standards.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003EAudit Process: Manage and implement local EHS compliance audits to monitor progress of continuous improvement and compliance for the NA SC Business Unit Segment. Leverage the data and findings to implement true root cause corrective actions. Lead efforts to minimize any legal regulatory activity from government authorities.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003ETraining: Implement training strategies and course curriculum to advance the knowledge of the NA SC Business Unit Segment team including the leadership team, plant managers, and plant EHS Coordinators.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003ERisk Management: Work in collaboration with the Risk Management Department on the tactical development and deployment of loss prevention (Fire and WC) strategies to reduce loss experience.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003ERisk Mitigation: Find and Eliminate Waste, tactically implement opportunities for the business unit to continuously improve environmental programs in the areas of pollution abatement, environmental and waste water management and to identify ways to minimize processes that affect employee safety and the environment.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003EProject Management: Work with plants, facility managers and EHS leads to ensure regulatory compliance, and life safety risks are adequately managed for new capital investments. Effectively coach the implementation of change management.u003C/liu003Eu003Cliu003EKey Performance Indicators: Provide guidance, interpretation and verification for KPIu0026rsquo;s.
