Talascend is currently seeking a Site Supervisor for a contract opportunity located in Fort Bliss, Texas\r\rOVERVIEW:\r\rUnder general supervision of project owner, oversees total construction effort to ensure project is completed within scope, budget and schedule. Supervises site activities for the client on major projects. Coordinates client work with other site contractors to ensure compliance with terms and conditions for the project assigned. At the local project level applies Client Safety programs, US Army Corps of Engineers Safety & Health Requirements, as well as state and federal laws for the inspection of equipment and working conditions and prevent accidents, fires and related hazardous events. Collaborates with peers. Leads all safety functions, including oversight at an assigned project level, typically one site\r\rRESPONSIBILITIES:\r\r\r Works with Major Project's team to identify project objectives with alignment to the scope, budget and schedule.\r Ensures customer satisfaction and scope of work compliance through daily site inspections.\r Submits regular progress updates for incorporation into master plan/schedule to provide variance analysis reporting.\r Acts as project safety program coordinator.\r Coordinates with Regional and Branch leadership through the assigned Major Projects Manager to ensure adequate resources to meet the project objectives.\r Resolves site conflicts regarding the sequencing of work and unforeseen conditions.\r Works with Project Manager in managing risks and assists in establishing project recovery plans. Ensures recovery plans are carried out.\r Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and policies and standards.\r Ensures subcontractors readily understand expectations of the project.\r Ensures that subcontractors provide adequate staffing levels to meet the project schedule.\r Responsible for the implementation of the Site/Task Specific Safety Program at location, including the creation of each task order required Site Specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP) & Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).\r Oversees and can authorize the procurement of project safety supplies and equipment, and is responsible for the implementation of the site safety training of client direct employees and subcontractor safety training.\r Designated on-site competent person and Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), as defined by The Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 (30 Nov 14).\r Responsible to enforce the safety directives per Client Safety Program, site-specific APPs and EM 385-1-1.\r Conducts daily safety and health inspections; Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports; Maintains the OSHA Form 300; Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution; Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements.\r Travel between the various sites within region may be required. Additional travel for startup, training, etc. as needed.\r Provide leadership & facilitate the Office Safety Committee at the local level.\r Performs other related duties as required.\r Owns/Accountable for Safety Execution within the assigned project location.\r\r\r
REQUIREMENTS:\r\r\r\r Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene or related field; or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of direct project coordination and supervision experience in the commercial and/or industrial Building Construction Industry. Must possess excellent coordination skills and the ability to supervise simultaneous large project activities. A high level of competency in written and verbal communication skills is required.\r Construction Supervisory experience - commercial or government.\r Previous Electrical background or Electrical project experience.\r 30-hr OSHA Construction Safety Class within the past 5 years and demonstrated continuing Safety training thereafter (8 hour per year).\r Five years of continuous experience in construction safety inspection and administration with similar large-scale projects.\r Proficiency with Microsoft office software.\r Ability to travel 25%.\r
