Primary Responsibilitiesu00a0 u2022 Manage the company environmental health and safety programs at the project level, driving a safety-oriented approach to work. u2022 Compile, analyze, and interpret occupational illness and accident statistical data at the project level; recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employee exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards. u2022 Routinely inspect the facilities, machinery, and safety equipment in order to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.u00a0 u2022 Routinely monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on the correct behaviors when observed. u2022 Develop environmental health and safety training materials to include manuals, brochures, PowerPoint presentations etc.u00a0 u2022 Develop a paperwork management system to track training records to track all safety training initiatives conducted personally or by outside consultants/vendors.u00a0 u2022 Interpret safety regulations for the project. u2022 Coordinate and present safety training to support client requirements including new hire orientation, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout and repertory.u00a0 u2022 Interface with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) (state or federal) officials/inspectors in the event or a site visit.u00a0 Qualifications u2022 At least ten yearsu2019 experience managing construction projects in an environmental health and safety related areau00a0 u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a safety program on projects of increasing complexity u2022 Knowledge of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)/OSHA regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury management skills u2022 CPR/First Aid, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and OSHA/MSHA instructor certifications are preferredu00a0 About Kiewitu00a0 As one of North America's largest, most respected construction and engineering organizations, with 2017 revenues of $8.7 billion, Kiewit exists to make a difference.
