Your Organization Altec Roanoke focuses on the manufacture and final assembly of aerial devices, cranes and digger derricks. We have a need for an EHS Supervisor to ensure the organization complies with all current environmental and safety regulations by working to develop, implement, monitor and manage environmental and safety programs, policies and procedures. Responsibilities Supervises one or more associates within the department \t Responds promptly to emergency events involving associate injury, environmental release, or property damage as well as investigates and reports all accidents and incidents \t Oversees environmental and safety compliance inspections and routine internal audits as needed for all aspects of the environmental, safety and health program \t Monitors compliance with air emissions, emissions tracking and reporting requirements and assists with permitting for air, storm water and waste regulations \t Reviews and evaluates policies and procedures to verify compliance with applicable standards and regulations \t Directs some of the safety and environmental decisions for the campus with limited guidance from management \t Completes and maintains safety and environmental files, records, documentation and related paperwork \t Prepares and submits all required environmental and safety reports to various governmental agencies \t Identifies environmental and safety training needs and ensures that appropriate training takes place \t Creates and implements improvements and corrective actions for safety and environmental issues \t Assists in spill clean-ups and coordinates waste pickup and disposal with approved service providers \t Participates in and\/or leads safety and environmental Kaizen events and completes assigned projects from those events \t Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.
