Summary Description ofPosition
Under the direction of aLicensed Physician and Clinical Director, provides general nursing care topatients at onsite ambulatory medical clinic and within manufacturingfacility. Responsible for the development and administration ofefficient and professional operations of occupational health, worker’scompensation, preventative, wellness, and chronic disease condition services inaccordance with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s policies, practices, procedures and applicableregulations to achieve the desired goals andobjectives. Responsibilities of intermittent nursing functions,including but not limited to nursing assessments, care coordination, andmonitoring of patients’ progress. Heavy customer and managementinterfacing skills are essential to this position. Must hold aGeorgia Nursing License to practice.
Support & Coordination of care for Onsite/Near-Site Model
Patient Centered focus of Holistic Medical Care of all Mohawk Employees
o Coordinator forCommunity Resources: Collaborates for program development, includingbut not limited to onsite preventative services, primary care/specialistreferrals for Mohawk Employees
Assists in providing local links for EAP services
Case Management to facilitate Worker’s Comp process, facilitate referrals, assuring appropriate care, prescriptions, facilitate scheduling studies and return to work assessments
Ensures that Mohawk Worker’s Comp & Safety departments are informed of all work comp cases
Serves as a Liaison for Liberty Mutual or current Worker’s Compensation Insurance
Resource for Work Comp guidelines to injured employees
Assists in documentation of Work Comp Injury for Mohawk personnel
Coordinates Work Comp Modified Duty with Client’s Supervisors & Safety
Evaluation of all Return to Works, including but not limited to Work Comp and FMLA
Responsibility for all Influenza Flu Events for respective facility
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for development of programs and services as determined need by Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety, Operations and Human Resources
Evaluation and treat all injuries, illnesses and medical conditions in an efficient and professional manner within nursing scope of practice and guidelines
Assisting in medical emergencies:
Evaluation for higher level of care
Provides first aid until higher level of care is available
Coordinates onsite Emergencies Services to patient’s specific location, as needed
Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight
Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas
Giving Immunizations under Physician Orders
Oral and Topical Administration of OTC Medication Administration, such as Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Prilosec, Claritin, Hydrocortisone, Neosporin to employees
Administration of topical prescription medications, such as Silvadene, Biofreeze to employees based upon physician directed and approved protocols
Completing Nursing Assessments and documentation
Answering Simple Medical Questions about Medical Conditions through positive and confident disposition
Support and Encourage Medical Management Plans of Patients—blood pressure checks; blood glucose checks
PREVENTION/Wellness Campaigns (every month) that covers every shift and breakroom
Identification of Prevention and Health Opportunities
Promotion of Immunizations
Attends monthly safety meetings
Assists with Coaching programs, as needed
Follows standardized signed Protocols as directed by the Collaborative Physician Medical Director
Education of Prevention, Chronic Disease and Health Opportunities
Initial Goal Setting to achieve improvement in health outcomes
Steerage into Health & Wellness programs, including but not limited to pilots
ADMINISTRATIVE: responsible for all medical supplies for occupational office
Assures compliance with regulatory requirements, CLIA & OSHA
DOCUMENTATION: Charting within Electronic Health Record, eMDs and HealtheView, in accordance to current policies and procedures
Licensed Practical Nurse with active Georgia Nursing License, in good standing
Knowledge of medical terminology
Must have a minimum of 2 or more years ofNursing Experience
Phlebotomy experience
CPR Certificate—American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Basic Computer Skills & Typing expertise for use of the Electronic Medical Record
Interpersonal/human relations skills
Knowledge/Experience of the manufacturing industry
Knowledge/Experience with occupational health nursing
Knowledge of recordable and non-recordable accidents
Knowledge/Experience with onsite health clinics
This role is based on sitein Calhoun, GA and relocation is not offered.
