Manufacturing environment with core business being metal fabrication and stamping with multiple facility locations in business for more than 30 years, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Professional
to join their team.

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager provides expertise for environmental control, process development, along with safety compliance.
Responsibilities of the Environmental Health and Safety Manager:
Supports multiple departments within the facility, ensuring EHS practices and training are consistently and properly practiced by employees.
Ensure safety compliance through classroom seminars and training programs
Manage regulatory programs including operator training, inspections, record keeping, and reporting
Completes all necessary monthly and annual EHS reporting.
Champions the resolution of workers’ compensation claims.
Develop and implements EHS management systems including OHSA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).
Provide overall environmental leadership for the facility.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental, safety, and health regulations and compliance.
Assess the safety and health design/impact of current and new operations.
Waste reduction to reduce carbon footprint for facility
Conduct pre-, interim-, and post- project safety reviews for Capital project initiation and control
Qualifications for the Environmental Health and Safety Manager:
Five or more years’ experience with an emphasis on health and safety implementation in a manufacturing environment. Environmental compliance experience is a plus!
Demonstrated experience in upgrading health and safety programs and process improvement.
Strong presentation and organizational skills.
Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.
Strong computer skills, including Windows, Word and Excel.
OSHA PSM, NJTCPA, EPA RMP NJDEP regulations and compliance experience are all strongly preferred
Troubleshooting, safety bias, project control and estimating ability are key to a successful Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Personal organization, time management and communication skills are a must
Ability to work with contractors, regulators and plant personnel
Ability to set and accomplish goals
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Engineering
Master’s degree and/or CSP/CIH certification preferred
