Job Description
.MAKING EXCELLENCE A HABITIn the role of Sales Director, you will lead EHS sales to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. Director must a strong client network in Environmental Health Safety & Sustainability and the ability to develop business. You will develop key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans and lead the execution of these strategies to achieve financial targets. Duties will include understanding customer trends, building relationships, and developing strong sales acumen across our business, The position is responsible for working across the business to establish the sales targets to meet the company objectives and overall sales plan and is responsible for developing strategic sales and marketing plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. The Sales Director is also directly involved in sales, typically with large, complex, and/or strategic clients. This position can be located anywhere in the Western or Central US where they will be instrumental in building client work and helping to build a BSI office.Key Responsibilities Include:Develops annual sales plan in support of overall organization strategy and objectives to include international growthRevenueSales growthProfit growthCost of saleNew market penetration / market shareSet and communicate the strategy for sales for the companyCreate a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement utilizing an optimal sales force structure for global supportBuild, develop and influence (indirectly manage) sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiativesParticipate in the growth and career development of current and future sales personnel in the region through recruitment and selection of staff, delivery of training programs, mentoring, coaching and other means to ensure that we are developing existing and growing future sellers in the businessAssist with integration and training of acquired companies into BSI EHS Services and Solutions (West) and instilling the sales culture in all officesDirectly involved with sales, typically to large, complex, multi-regional or strategic clientsDirect implementation and execution of sales policies and practicesEnsure communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectivesRecommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysesDefine and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targetsDefine and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectivesDevelop and execute a system to manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfactionDefine sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when requiredIdentify and implement infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales functionProvide detailed and accurate sales forecastingCompile information and data related to customer and prospect interactionsMonitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functionsWork closely with the marketing function to establish and implement a consolidated marketing plan for the organizationManage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunitiesTravel for in-person meetings with key customers and partners and to develop key relationshipsAssist with review and approval of client contract documents

Job Requirements
.Education & Experience: Ideally you will have 10 plus years of experience, including sales leadership experience in professional services consulting, preferably in Environmental, Health and SafetyCandidate should have a Bachelor or Masters degree in an EHS field or Business/Marketing plus a degree in a related field. Additionally candidate should have: Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partnersProven evangelical sales track record in a new product/new market environmentDemonstrated success management of sellers and leadersAbility to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levelsEstablished contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partnersAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team oriented environmentExperience with a specific sales methodology, sales funnel managementExperience in oversight and implementation of marketing and sales programs (preferably globally)Capacity to assume more significant executive responsibilities over timeAbility to generate innovative approaches and new or improved solutions to business issuesCapacity to coach and develop a team professionals; coaching includes providing the appropriate level of direction, enabling others to succeed, and providing open and timely informal and formal feedbackAbility to anticipate trends, situations, or changing market conditions and take appropriate action on a timely basisStrong general management skills, including process management and financial managementAptitude to grasp and learn complex concepts quickly and independentlyCapacity to develop and implement strategy company wide, as well as regionally or for specific customersEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disability
