\u003Cdiv\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Patient Safety Manager is responsible for the coordination of patient safety activities as outlined in the Hospitals\u0027 Patient Safety and Renaissance Resident Safety programs.\u003Cbr\u003EThe position encompasses various roles (e.g., coordinator, educator) and requires effective interpersonal and management skills to motivate staff to embrace patient safety and resident safety practices. In addition, the individual will collaborate with the Directors of Innovation and Lean/Performance Improvement on projects that improve patient and resident safety.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EResponsibilities will include management and oversight of the Hospital and Renaissance Comprehensive Unit Based Safety Program teams (CUSP), conducting the culture of safety survey (e.g., Safety Attitudes Questionnaire or SAQ survey) as frequently as determined by the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS), conducting Root Cause Analysis and Proactive Risk Assessments as required, monitoring compliance with the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, and completing special projects as assigned. This may include but is not limited to: management of unit\u002Dbased safety goal dashboards, report development in hospital event reporting program Patient Safety Net (PSN), safety survey database management.
