Responsible for advising on all aspects of health, environment, and assisting with general safety duties, promotes development of a positive safety culture to mitigate occupational and environmental risks, and monitors all work in progress.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs health and safety audits and inspections.
Develops and conducts safety, health and environmental training.
Develops and implements HSE plans i.e. compose, review, and approve safety documentation for associated project scopes, and ensure that they meet or exceed the company’s safety requirements.
Promotes good health, safety and environmental practices.
Propose, implements and monitors measures necessary to comply with mandated codes and requirements.
Provide root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for related concerns.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field of study preferred.
Minimum one (1) year experience as an HSE Technician or directly related role.
Certification in HSE or Industrial Hygiene (CHST, OHST, CSP, ASP, CIH).
Intermediate skillset with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Previous experience in the construction industry.
Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

The employee must regularly lift, move and /or carry up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.
