The EHS Manager will be a member of the Electronic Systems (ES) EHS department supporting the ES EHS Director in the development, execution, and continual improvement of the ES EHS strategic plan. This position will lead the development and execution of the Electronic Systems EHS program for a business unit and drive the sustainability efforts to enhance business performance and support our long-term interests for the segment.
Essential Responsibilities: Perform all the usual and customary duties related to managing subordinates.
Perform related duties or special projects, as directed.
Ensure regulatory and corporate compliance via established auditing processes and risk analysis
Implement and administer the ES EHS management system and implement all major programs affecting employee environment, health and safety (EHS)
Direct EHS staff to develop and implement environmental health and safety control programs
Conduct plant surveys, audits, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of environmental health programs
Develop EHS training programs, including the creation of curriculum, and conduct or oversee the conduct of training to employee populations per regulatory requirements and EHS policies
Review specifications and plans of new operations, layouts, materials, chemicals, machinery, new construction and demolition to assure appropriate safety and industrial hygiene standards are applied.
Establish and maintain records and permits required by local, state and federal government regulations relative to the EHS program and prepare periodic updates and metrics for management review
Drive Electronic Systems long-term sustainability vision, mission, and operating principles, and develop the strategy, roadmap, and goals to support it.
Assess the Electronic Systems sustainability performance.
Develop and manage metrics for reporting progress and performance.
Collaborate across departments to develop a cross-functionally coordinated sustainability plan
Build sustainability principles into short- and long-range business planning, capital planning, and operations planning
Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing organizational communications and education Qualifications: BA\/BS degree ideally in an EHS or engineering program with 9 years of relevant experience
OR MS\/MBA with 7 years of relevant experience
Experience with leadership, strategy development\/execution, training and monitoring of environmental and sustainability programs
Understanding of ISO 14001 and management system requirements
Experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT & NFPA requirements
Experience developing and implementing safety, environmental and health programs, processes and framework for multiple sites Additional Preferred Qualifications: EHS certification preferred such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analysis skills
Exhibit sound judgment and professionalism in all situations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assess priorities effectively Security Clearance:
