Description: Reviews and analyzes safety regulations to determine impact on Clearwater site operations. Able to recognize general safety and environmental (e.g. air, hazardous waste, hazardous material) issues and oversee resolution.
Work with cross functional teams and plan for changes in facilities and equipment to meet safety and health requirements.
Continually review processes and equipment and perform/update job hazard analyses when necessary.
Manages all permit and compliance activities including, but not limited to, air permit requirements, large quantity generator status, waste water permit, storm water permit, and all applicable OSHA requirements.
Maintain site Management Systems including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and OSHA VPP
Act as primary point of contact for all regulatory officials, ensuring a positive relationship with Local, State, and Federal compliance representatives.
Facilitates integration into Production Operations, including routine interaction with senior site leaders and production staff.
Assist with injury and close call investigations.
Well-rounded expertise as environment, safety and health (ESH) professional. Able to act as subject matter expert in ESH program topics such as wastewater treatment and permitting, fall protection, chemical management, large quantity generator hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, lifting/hoisting, powered industrial trucks, machine guarding, ergonomics, and all other programs typical to a manufacturing environment.
Additionally, must have experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and OSHA VPP
Certification and recertification experience at ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP certified site.
Degree in ESH field.
