Job Description: 8am to 5pm $45\/hr The Occupational Health Nurse administers and coordinates OSHA-required Medical Surveillance Health Programs. This position serves as a liaison between co-workers, business segments, third party administrators and medical consultants. This position also supports wellness initiatives, which includes ergonomic assessments, training and other business segment support. Key responsibilities include:Interface with medical surveillance providers and physicians;Manage OSHA medical records and X-rays for the corporation;Review audiometric testing and pulmonary function results;Provide health consultation to co-workers;Provide program management on Occupational Health;Determine minimum medical surveillance protocols for OSHA compliance;Coordinate follow-up medical examinations and minimum exam protocols;Assist in OSHA Recordkeeping Requirements;Assist in Workers\u2019 Compensation Case Management;Prepare Health Hazard Guidelines and Health Information Sheets;Participate in ergonomic evaluations, assessments and training;Monitor, review and interpret regulatory health testing requirements;Provide compliance guidance to management and provide training to company personnel;Develop comments on proposed safety and health regulations and participate in regulatory proceedings as related to medical surveillance or occupational health as required;Administer corporate compliance programs as assigned;Assist in developing budgetary guidance for medical surveillance;Support Energy Center Nurses during outage support, vacations and as needed;Provide emergency response to co-workers at the St. Louis General Office Building (GOB).Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college or university required. Master of Science or Master of Public Health degree preferred. R.N. certificate required. Occupational Health Nurse Certification required. Five years Occupational Health nursing experience required. Two years acute care experience strongly preferred. Spirometer certification preferred. Background in Medical Case Management preferred. The Occupational Health Nurse works a standard workweek in an office and field environment. This position requires occasional overtime (evenings) that may involve travel. The Occupational Health Nurse may also be expected to provide support during plant outages, storms, or other emergencies as required which may require working extended hours, weekends and holidays.In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:Ability to prioritize and self-direct work activities with little direct supervision and participate in a geographically dispersed team environment. Ability to dispense over-the-counter medication. Proficiency with MS Office required. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects to successful completion. Strong analytical, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills also required
