What you’ll do on a typical day:
Assist in Safety Committee meetings, review incident/accident trends, and identify safety opportunities
Maintain safety training schedule and create a culture of mindfulness of safety practices and incentive programs; track, maintain, and archive all safety training documentation and databases to keep a real-time status
Conduct monthly building audits and communicate corrections to appropriate departments
Collaborate with Operations Management team to ensure completion of Accident Reporting and Tracking on all accidents and post-incident investigations at the facility; conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and review corrective action measures
Ensure that contractors, personnel working on the property, and visitors are in compliance with XPO policies and safety requirements; maintain Contractor/Vendor Safety Program
Assist with maintaining the Site Emergency Response Plan and procedures; identify safety polices and utilize them in day-to-day training
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Associate degree or equivalent
Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues
Availability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends
It’d be great if you also have:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in a safety-related field
First aid and CPR certificates
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
Strong analytical skills
