This position will be responsible for coordinating and leading PepsiCo Corporate and local HSE programs and efforts throughout the Fort Pierce facility.Responsible for assessing and implementing the HSE Program Elements as required for compliance with PepsiCo, Inc. and regulatory requirements.Coordinates LOTO compliance as measured by the objectives listed Progress to Plan scorecardCoordinates Confined Space compliance as measured by the objectives listed Progress to Plan scorecardResponsible for organizing departmental teams, coordinating meetings, and delivering safety activities and training as required by HSE Department.Responsible for motivating employees and establishing systems that ensure team-based involvement in accomplishing required tasks.Responsible for developing systems for completing all regulatory requirements within department - audits, inspections, drills, etc.:Coordinates Contractor Safety Audits objectives listed in the Progress to Plan ScorecardCoordinates Monthly Zone inspections to track items to completion and ensure inspections are taking place as measured by the DMS Zone Inspection ScorecardPerform Hazardous Waste Inspections and Hazardous Material Tank Inspections, measured by monthly inspection checklists being completed on time.Conduct SWPPP Storm Water Monitoring as called for in permitCoordinate Permit Required Confined Space procedures and assessmentsAssist with Emergency Response drill activities.Responsible for working collaboratively with Site Safety Specialist on site-wide HSE activities.Provide guidance and information to the Leadership Team on HSE priorities and risks, performance, major issues and the interpretation of regulatory requirements.Lead the departmental efforts to satisfying PepsiCo GEHSMS standardsParticipate in the incident investigation process using root cause analysis techniques.Assume other site-wide point person responsibilities as determined by Safety Manager.Responsible for ensuring completion of all required Departmental safety activities. Assumes other responsibilities and performs special functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. Minimum 5 years experience in industrial health and safety. Experience with behavioral-based safety and hazard analysis. Professional Certifications such as CSP, ASSE, OSHA courses a plus. Knowledge of industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, chemical safety, emergency response. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to include Confined Space, HAZWOPER, Lockout/Tagout, Process Safety Management, Electrical Safety, etc. Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene Experience with accident investigations and risk assessments. Ability to schedule and provide classroom training on a broad range of safety topics. Ability to interact and motivate employees to drive employee involvement. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to large groups of diverse employees.
