Seeking a Manager of Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) for a growing global Billion $$ organization with exciting growth opportunities. The manufacturing plant is mostly mechanical equipment producing 600+ units a day with 1300 employees in a 700,000 sq. ft facility. This HSE Manager will be engaged on the manufacturing plant floor 75% of the time and will have 2 direct reports. This HSE Manager Develops, implements and monitors programs that drive superior safety, health and environmental practices in a manufacturing plant. This HSE Manager will work with the Plant Manager to drive strategic corporate safety initiatives with dotted line reporting to the corporate safety executive.
This HSE Manager will also,
Ensures compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) laws and regulations.
Develops new and creative methods to drive continuous improvement in HSE practices.
Acts as an advisor to HSE admin team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Monitors the removal of physical, biological and chemical hazards
Training of employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ensures all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines.
Manages the hiring, direction, assessment and development of a team of HSE professionals.
Requires a bachelors degree (preferably in HSE, engineering or equivalent)
At least 8 years relevant (manufacturing plant in HSE) experience. Also, a minimum of 3 years Management/Leadership experience.
Ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve goals.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
Strong knowledge of developing and implementing training programs.
Experience using Apollo Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or similar problem solving tools.
Lean and Six Sigma preferred.
