LiveSafe.u201d culture and to ensure compliance with all applicable laws andregulations. This position includes collaborative management of theorganizationu2019s six regional safety managers, who also have a dotted linerelationship to regional corporate officers. The successful candidate forthis position must have the ability to quickly establish credibility and leadby influence across all levels of the organization, from senior leadership toindividual contributors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all aspects of the corporate safety program.u00a0 Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards promulgated by local, state, and federal agencies. Design, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety strategy, programs, and data tracking platform consistent with industry best practices and company culture. Define short and long term objectives for the company, regional safety managers and all levels of operations management. Provide tactical plans to reach goals. Maintain safety standards and initiatives that improve performance, reduce risk, mitigate incident frequency and severity, and meet regulatory/compliance requirements. Develop and implement safety related internal controls, oversight, governance, and measurement systems to ensure compliance and accountability across the organization. Provide technical expertise to management and the safety team with respect to federal and state OSHA regulations. Oversee the investigation and resolution of OSHA inquiries. Contribute written submissions or otherwise support safety communications through newsletters, social media, new employee orientation sessions, tailgate topics and similar safety outreach efforts. Develop and maintain an aggressive accident investigation program. This includes review of all accident reports and identification of root causes.u00a0 Conduct (or coordinate) on-site safety reviews and audits at all locations to ensure compliance with safe working operations, regulatory requirements and as required by Company policy and procedure. Identify accident trends Company-wide and by region; implement strategies to effectively resolve actual or perceived safety issues. Provide regular reports and/or presentations to senior leadership on the safety programu2019s successes and challenges. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Bacheloru2019s Degree in Safety Engineering, Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Health or a related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through completion of a program accredited by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). A minimum of 7 years of experience leading the safety function of a mid to large sized corporation, preferably in the construction industry. Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and manage best practice health & safety programs. Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of safety rules and regulations including fall protection, silica, confined space, forklift, and scissor lift operation, trenching, scaffolding, energy control/LOTO and general construction safety. Proven leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to both work collaboratively and influence those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship exists. Highly developed interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with employees at all levels of the organization. Highly effective presentation and training delivery skills. Frequent, multi-state travel.
