Safety, Health & Environmental Manager
The Administration Division is seeking a detail oriented, conscientious leader to be directly responsible for supervising the daily functions of the Safety and First Aid departments. They will oversee accident investigations, claim reporting, and work as a liaison w/insurance company and attorneys while ensuring safety training is conducted and documented in all departments.
Special Duties and Responsibilities
Protect company assets and apply risk management experience to ensure Guest and Team Member safety
Support corporate risk management policies and safety initiatives
Manage compliance standards of local, state and federal fire and environmental regulations
Monitor OSHA compliance and completion of related documentation
Insure EPA compliance and completion of documentation
Insure compliance with the American Disabilities Act
Implement and maintain the Safety & Risk Manual, Emergency Response Manual and Safety and Risk Management Standard Operating Procedures
Manage emergency response procedures and training
Provide leadership to all First Aid and EMT staff
Responsible for the creation of, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the First Aid and Safety budgets to insure maximum efficiency
Meet with insurance inspectors, government inspectors, and other auditors as needed
Routinely inspect all areas for hazards and other safety related risks
Communicate with Leadership and Team Members on any hazards that exist or may come to exist
Reviews contractor safely plans for compliance with park, federal, state and local regulations
Maintain records and produce safety/risk management related reports - analyze accident & injury trends Investigate all reports of accidents, hazards and safety issues and respond accordingly
Coordinate with other departments to proactively manage safety and preventative injury program to help protect Team Members and Guests
Implement and manage safety education and communication programs
Ensure departmental compliance with monthly safety meetings
Inspect and maintain safety, health, and fire equipment
Represent the park in litigation matters regarding park safety or injury claims
Responsible for implementing and maintaining all drug testing procedures
Maintain safety databases, using provided applications, to track accidents and injuries
Assist in other special projects with Director of Human Resources

Minimum Requirements
Ability to gain in-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Texas Safety and Insurance regulations
Possess a minimum of an EMT- Basic certificate or the ability to obtain an EMT-Basic Certification within 12 months
Background in Occupational Safety & Risk Management preferred College degree in Risk Management or related field or relevant work experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a team oriented approach and excellent written and oral communication skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products is a requirement
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record, strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
Flexible schedule required including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, work at heights up to 215 feet and lift up to forty pounds
