Safety Coordinator Jobs description
An environmental health and safety coordinator is responsible for performing health, safety, and environmental assessments, submitting reports corresponding to the assessments, mentoring contract site supervisors, and attending project related meetings. Duties include coordinating with environmental health and safety (EHS) managers, assistants, specialists, and/or consultants; consulting with various departments on design and use of equipments, shops, fire prevention, and safety programs; developing and implementing accident investigation, data analysis, and recurrence prevention programs and procedures; providing emergency response to problems in a plant including first aid, security, safety-related complaints, or inspection issues.An environmental health and safety coordinator should have a bachelor\'s degree and strong knowledge of OSHA regulations. Prior experience in providing health and safety support may be considered an advantage. Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint is required.
