Regional Manager of Health amp Safety Job

I just got off the phone with one of my best clients who is a well-known National Agricultural company that is looking for a Regional Manager of Health & Safety
in California, due to a promotion. In this role, you will be key in developing and implementing programs for 4 facilities, including occupational health and safety Driving change and creating a culture of safety is the number one priority for this position and for the company as a whole. Strong leadership and training are needed to gain buy-in from each and every employee to ensure compliance is critical.
In talking to management, in the last 8 years, they have made drastic changes in building a culture of safety. They have some strong programs in place but what they said will be exciting is to get the chance to construct a high-quality system that the company fully backs.
Regional Manager Health & Safety
Responsibilities
Work with multiple facilities to establish and audit safety concerns and opportunities
implement injury and illness prevention programs
Freedom to create and implement Health & Safety processes
The primary contact for Health & Safety matters as well as OSHA Inspections
Coordinate all safety training with all levels and leadership within the region
Work with Corporate Director of EHS, Regional General Manager, and Plant Managers in a team setting
Coordinate FSMA efforts for the region.
Qualification:
Proven Health & Safety Program management experience within a manufacturing setting
Leadership in safety programs
Ability to travel to multiple locations within the Northeast
Strong written and verbal communication
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health, Safety or related field preferred
CAL/OSHA experience required
Experience in presenting training materials
Compensation and Benefits:
$100,000 to $130,000 Base Salary Company Bonus Program
The company covers all travel expenses
